Revolutionary Denmek’s biogas BG technology

Denmek has developed its own proprietary biogas technology called the BG system.

Denmek’s BG technology eliminates operational problems and it offers high conversion rates of organic matter into biogas. In combination, the overall efficiency and economy is significantly increased.

The BG system has been improved continuously and the current version offers the best technology in biogas production in respect to conversion rates. Clearly, development takes time and not least, investments, however, the BG technology represents the first thorough process and design renewal since the biogas technology was introduced to the European marked during the 1970th.

Substantially decreased size of digester

The BG digester only requires 2-4 days of residence time to produce biogas from the manure and the size is hence substantially decreased compared to traditional systems where 30-60 days of residence time is required.The size of a 40 ton per day digester will in other words be reduced from 1200-2400 m3 to only 160 m3. The reason that this shorter residence time is possible is that the BG system retains the bacteria inside the digester and hence new bacteria do not have to form when new biomass enters the system.
